Red Lobster (Piqua, Ohio)

Today, I went to Red Lobster for lunch as day 1 of my week long trip to Piqua, Ohio. It was a very enjoyable experience. I have always enjoyed going to Red Lobster in many locations, but this one tops them all. I could not believe how perfect the experience was. It has just recently been remodeled. It had the neatest decorations displayed. The restaurant was entirely spotless. The service was great! The waitress kept up on all our refills of drinks and kept up on the "cheddar biscuits" the whole time. Everyone was all very nice and proper. The food was great! I had the Crunchy Popcorn Shrimp meal, with a side of french fries and broccoli. Everything tasted exactly as it should. There was not one problem what so ever. This had to be my absolute favorite Red Lobster I have ever visited! I have to give this a full 10/10! Great job Red Lobster of Piqua, Ohio! I look forward to you visiting again! This place would be one of my highest recommendations of restaurants in the area if you were ever nearby.

Real Hacienda (Terre Haute, IN)

Today, I was on my way for my one week trip to Ohio. I stopped by in Terre Haute, Indiana at a Mexican restaurant called The Real Hacienda. I was actually pleased with my visit. Granted, I have not always been a fan of Mexican food, but I have taken a liking to it this past year. As far as the experience, it went rather well. I have to say for the overall appearance, it was really great. It was very clean, well decorated, and a great variety of colors. The service was really good. The waiter kept up on all the refills. The only problem was a sauce they had put on my burrito, when I had asked for it to be plain. It was no real problem. It was fixed in no time at all. They were very polite, well dressed, and were very proper. The food tasted great! I was very satisfied with all of the food and my drink. I must say for an overall experience, I would say a solid 8/10. Great job! I would definitely recommend others to come and visit!

Chicago's Pizza (French Lick, IN)

Today, my family and I went out on a trip to French Lick. We did a lot of running around visiting the very nice and friendly area. We decided to go to Chicago's Pizza. We didn't really know what to expect, but it was indeed a great surprise. Overall the the visit was absolutely perfect! We got a large Chicago style pizza with pepperoni, order of bread-sticks, and drinks of course. The service was great, the drinks and food were amazing, and the atmosphere was breathtaking. I was very pleased when the manager heard my mother make a comment about her sandwich, they came and asked right away to be sure that we were satisfied. I must say that I have not ever been this pleased with a restaurant this much ever before for a long time. I must insist on a 10/10!!! Great Job Chicago's Pizza!! I definitely look forward to coming back as soon as possible!!

Log Inn Restaurant (Warrenton, IN)

 

Tonight, I headed south again about 20 miles to Warrenton, IN to Log Inn. Where once the famous president Abraham Lincoln once stopped at on one of his many trips during his presidency. This place is a very well known place in our area, and very popular for their country style cooking. The inside of course has walls made of logs and really gives the feel for what it was like back in the 1800's when Lincoln visited this location. Tonight I came here with great expectations. It didn't start out all too well. It took about 10 minutes to be seated when in fact there were enough tables to be seated at and enough help to serve another table. After being shown to my table, I was unbelievably seated at a very dirty table. It took another 10 minutes before I  was served for drink order. But once the waitress had come to my table everything went great. She cleaned off everything. She was quick to get my drink, which by the way was lemonade. She kept up on refills. The food had also came out in a timely fashion. The food was indeed great! For the food, I had ordered chicken livers, baked potato, and corn. Like I said, the food all tasted good, the service was good, once I got it. Overall, I must give Log Inn a 7/10. However in the future, I would highly suggest they work on getting people seated quicker, and when seating them, I would not seat people at a dirty table like I was. Wok 'N' Roll Chinese Restaurant (Evansville, IN)

Tonight, I drove 30 miles down to Evansville, Indiana. Once again, I ate with the family, including one of my brothers that live there in town. I have to say I was very much satisfied with every aspect of the experience. It was a very clean atmosphere. The service was perfect and very friendly. The dining room was clean and spotless. Food and drink was served in timely fashion.  Everything tasted great! Also, the menu was full of very reasonable prices. So, when I ordered, I got a #4 Combo that consisted of General Tao's chicken, sweet & sour chicken, chicken fried rice, fried noodles, and a signature roll. The sweet tea was great for the drink. Everything was perfect! I must give Wok 'N' Roll a full 10/10! Great job! I look forward to visiting again soon!

Bill Bobe's Pizza (Vincennes, IN)

Yesterday, I went with family to go to travel about 25 miles north to Vincennes, IN to Bill Bobe's Pizza. This has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid at the age of six. When we got there the place was very busy and had to park on the side of the street because there was no spots left in the parking lot. We got in and rushed to a table and there were only two tables left. I noticed right away they repainted the part of the dining room we were sitting in. I felt it gave a pretty good feel. The waitress quickly got our order and got our drinks and bread-sticks out very quickly. It took about 30 minutes for our pizzas to come out. All together we ordered three drinks, order of 4 bread-sticks, and a large sausage pizza, as well as a small sausage, green pepper and mushroom pizza. The end result was very satisfying. It took a little while when we were ready to go and waited about 10 minutes to get our ticket to pay. Otherwise, it was perfect! I must say I believe it would be fair to give them a 9/10. Great job Bill Bobe's Pizza!

Harbor Bay (Princeton, IN)

This past Friday, I had went to the Harbor Bay seafood restaurant in Princeton, IN. I was overall pleased with the outcome. I went in and seated myself. The manager was right there to assist me and had the waitress there in a very short time. I ordered a sweet tea and an amaretto sour to start off. I later ordered the Catfish fillet meal with a baked potato and onion rings. Both, the baked potato and the onion rings were great, but the fish could have had a little more flavor to it. The service was great, they kept up with refilling my drink very well. The restaurant was very clean. I also noticed the added amount of decorations from last time. Before I felt like they needed a lot more to give them the seafood atmosphere. Now they had wall to wall decorations, well done. However they could use something like tablecloths or something more to give the tables a little more elegance. Overall, I must say that I give them a good 8/10. Good job Harbor Bay! I look forward to come back soon. I would also like to recommend others to give it a try when your up for seafood.

Burger King (Princeton, IN)

Today, I decided to revisit the Princeton Burger King. Very Disappointing! It took 3 tries in 15 minutes to make a double stacker plain with just bacon and meat. I came in and there was a little bit of a rush, but wasn't too bad. I only had two people in front of me. I ordered "I would like a double stacker plain, no cheese and no sauce. A medium drink, and a value fry. For here." She rang me up. I went to get sweet tea, but they were out. I let them know about it, and they just said "Oh, we probably don't have anymore." They didn't even try to look if they did have anymore. I waited 10 minutes for my meal. Not a good time to wait for such a simple meal. They shouted my meal "Double stacker, no sauce, and a value fry." I came up got it and sat back down, I opened it up and all they took off was just the sauce, it wasn't plain. I went back up to the manager and he looked at it and said "See, no sauce!"-with an attitude. I said "I asked for it to be no sauce, no cheese, plain, just bacon and meat." He went back and started yelling at the cook and threw the burger down on the floor and then the cook threatened to quit right then. The girl in the drive through came over and asked what I needed and went back and fixed it herself. I cannot describe how much I did not like that visit. I must give them a score of 2/10.

Power Plant Bar and Grill - French Lick, IN

This past Wednesday I felt like taking a nice drive and headed up to French Lick, IN. As I got to the French Lick Resort, I felt hungry right away so I headed down stairs and in no time I found a very nice appealing restaurant. I walked in and was greeted right away. It was all very clean, and well decorated. The staff were very friendly and kept up very well with checking up on me. My food was cooked perfectly. There are no complaints what so ever. The food was reasonably priced. I was very much pleased with the restaurant and would well recommend it to many others. However, you must be 21 to go in because it is a Bar and Grill. So as an end result I must give them a 9/10. Although there were no real problems, I could not overlook the time it took to get my food when it wasn't that busy. Not that it took that long, just a little longer than it should have.

Brayten's (Vincennes, IN)

Last night, I went to Vincennes, Indiana, and chose to eat at Brayten's. It's locally known for their steaks, pasta, and pizza. As we approached the place it was pretty busy. We stood for about 5 minutes before we got seated. As they showed us to our table, I could not help but notice how dirty the floor was. It was not clean at all. We got seated, and gladly the table was clean. We ordered our drinks, and of course I chose sweet tea. When we got our drinks, the sweet tea was very good. We got an appetizer of the portebella mushrooms. When we got them we had all agreed that it was just a little spicy, but still good. The waitress was very good with keeping our cups full and helping us with whatever we needed. When we got our food, I had gotten a baked spaghetti and garlic bread. It was very filling. Overall, I must say I will have to give them a score of 6/10. I am sorry, but I could not help but thinking about how dirty the floor was. Plus the spicy mushrooms, which never use to taste that way.

Stoll's Country Inn Restaurant (Darmstadt, IN)

This night I had chosen to go out for some good country cooking and decided to go to a local favorite spot. Stoll's Country Inn has been a favorite of mine for a few good while, at least 6 or 7 years now. As I came in the restaurant, I was greeted with a most friendly smile from the hostess. She got our silverware and walked us to our table, and in no time at all, we were asked by our waitress what drinks we would like. I had chosen sweet tea of course. As I walked up to the buffet, I was greeted by the manager who was also very friendly, all the food was very fresh and very appetizing. I had finally got all my choices from the buffet that consisted of baked chicken breast, bar-b-que, and noodles. As I ate, the chicken breast was great! The noodles were also great! But, the bar-b-que was a little too sweet for my taste, but I wasn't completely dissapointed with it. All the service was wonderful! The tables, floors, and everything else was completely spotless! I was truly amazed with the quality of this visit! I do firmly believe that I must give the a big 10/10! Great job! It was an amazing visit!

Subway / Noble Roman's (Oakland City, IN)

Today I headed out to Subway/Noble Romans for lunch. As I walked in, I quickly noticed that it was very clean. All the pizzas, breadsticks, and sandwiches were all stocked at the express station. When I could smell the pizza, I automatically knew that I wanted one. So I grabbed a personal size pepperoni pizza, and a bottle of Coke Zero from the fridge. I was quickly helped on. They were all very friendly. I sat down to good and clean table and I really enjoyed it. The pizza tasted great! Overall I must give them a score of 10/10. Great job guys!

Burger King (Princeton, IN)

Just this morning, I had chosen to eat at Burger King (BK). I had just walked in and I will say that a few things could have been cleaned, like a few tables and some floors that could have been mopped. But it was a nice eating environment. The burgers smelt really good and could not wait to have one. I had gone up the the counter and something that caught my attention was their very friendly service. With a smile, I was greeted, and then asked for my order. I ordered a Doublestack, plain, no cheese, and a value fry, with a small drink. To my delight, there were no mistakes. I had chosen to get my favorite sweet tea from there, was also no problems with it. I sat down, all the food tasted great. Generally, the visit was pleasant. I could not help but keep in mind of the the tables and floors though.. Overall, I would give them a good 7/10.

Cracker Barrel (Evansville, IN)

Tonight I had chose to head out to Cracker Barrel. I was happy that I did not have to wait at all. We were seated immediately. The waitress was great with getting our drinks and food in great time. I had chosen sweet tea. It was a little weak, but still satisfactory. It didn't seem long at all before I got my food. I had gotten a combo breakfast with three pancakes, three strips of bacon, and two eggs (over easy). The food was great! No complaints at all. The whole restaurant was very clean, and everyone was very friendly. I am very happy to give them an overall score of 10/10! Great Job Cracker Barrel! I am looking forward to dining with you again!

Kentucky Fried Chicken (Princeton, IN)

Just today I ate at KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken). I had chosen to get the chicken strip meal. Instead of getting the potato wedges I had gotten the mashed potato, no gravy. I was very well satisfied with the meal. The potatoes were good, the biscuit was good, the chicken strips were very tasty, but just a little too spicy for it to be considered mild. My choice of drink were from Pepsi products. I was going to get Dr. Pepper, but it didn't seem to be working quite right, so I chose Pepsi Max. That was the first time I had ever tried that drink, not bad at all. Overall, considering the meal, service, and cleanliness of my visit today, I would give them a solid 8/10. Good job KFC, you did well.
